Prep work:

Basically this mini album is created using several different mediums for pages. Cardstock, Transparencies, envelopes, and even decorative paper. You will create this book in "sections". Each section will consist of  the following: (shown in the first picture). \

A decorative 3.5"x5"  cardstock which will be the "cover" to each section.. or the beginging of each section. There are several decorative sheets.

The next is a  letter transparency-which is your "letter page".

The third is a  patterned paper sheet that will be cut to 4"x6" which is your "picture page"

and last is  a cream cardstock piece that will be cut to 4"x6" , that is your "journaling page.

Each section will have one of each of these pages.. in that order.

You also have 2 envelopes, that you will stagger throughout the book, as well as etsy tags, that will be staggered throughout the book too.  You create as many "sections" as you like, but just a note there  are 4 transparencies that spell the word "LOVE". So I did my book with 4 sections in it.  I will show you how to create "one" section, then the rest is up to your creative mind :)

  1. Cut your cream cardstock pieces to 4"x6".
  2. Cut patterned paper pieces to 4"x6" pieces.
  3. Cut your Decorative paper to 3.5"x5" pieces.

If you are unsure about how big your book will be and don't want to waste paper by pre-cutting it, you can cut as you go, to save paper for other projects, you will have PLENTY to work with, so don't by shy!

Let’s get started:

Cover:

I started with a pink Decorative Edged paper.. you have several colors, so pick the one right for you!

Place "a little love note" sticker on right hand side of paper as shown.

Place "everything" sticker from Word Fetti overlapping top.

Cut out Heart from Chenille. I didn't use a pattern, just free-handed it :) (you can do it :))

I actually ended up sewing my heart, on so at this point, either adhere heart on, or stitch it on (by hand or with a sewing machine).

Really easy to sew!

Next add chipboard heart and a button to your project as shown.

If you would like to add glitter to the front, apply with a stick or a q-tip.

then sprinkle glitter on top!

Now you are finished!  You will punch hole in the project, when all the pages are finished.

The next "page" in our set is the Transie sheet. These cute sheets from Daisy D's are perfect filler for mini albums, spelling words throughout the albums! I LOVE em!

This step is simple, just staple a piece of trim onto the transie close to the "l" then cut the excess of.
Then add a button!

This step is for one of the mini envelopes you have. You can put what ever you want inside of these.. I just cut a small piece of cardstock and decorated it with stickers and buttons.. and will add journaling. You could put memorabilia inside, pictures.. or even tags!

  1. .

The Next page is your 'picture" page.. but really you can add pictures to any part of this.

This "page" is done using a sheet of patterned paper as your base. I used decorative scissors on one edge, to keep the feel of the book.

Next I placed one of the scalloped stickers on the sheet, with half of it coming off. Then I cut off the excess (you can keep the other side to use later!

I LOVE this sticker sheet.. holy cow, so many uses!!

Next place your picture on the page, Min is around 2"x3" in size.

Next i added the "Love" rubons overlapping my picture.

final step is to add the chipboard heart.

Your last page in this "set" is a cream cardstock piece.

I simply cut two strips , one each from the red and pink wrapping paper. Then I  adhered them onto the page (I used decorative scissors on the red one).

Next i Placed the entire Heidi Swapp  Damask sticker onto the cardstock.

Next  I placed a journaling sticker on top of all three as shown. Plus added a word Fetti strip and a button.

Now your first set is done!

You can create more "sets" following the same formula.. a "decorative paper", a transie, a patterned paper, then a cream cardstock sheet.

you can also add sheets here and there. I added this cardstock sheet directly after my first set, so I could journaling more about my husband.  So mix it up a bit too and add where you need to :)

The final step is to punch holes in all of your sheet. I punched THREE holes down the side of each sheet. Make sure when you are measuring, you make them close enough together that when you punch the envelope holes, they fit inside the width of the envelope. (as shown).

Another fun thing is that once you start putting your "sets" together, you can also add some of the Etsy tags as filler throughout the book too. I added this tag right before my first "picture" page by simply punching a hole in the middle .

I used the ribbon included in the kit, to "hold" my book together, but I also wanted to show you, you can use book rings or just about anything to hold it together too (as shown below)..

have fun and don't forget to share your finished projects with me!

hugs to you!
